My Tale of Woe
In Summer of 2013, I got bit by a mosquito in Paris. My foot swelled up almost twice in size. I couldn’t walk for a few days. When we came home, my digestion never recovered from the trip. I assumed it was all the bread and wine. About a year later, I was in Hong Kong and felt unusually tired and short of breath on easy walks. I started noticing a wavy distortion in my left eye. When I got home, I saw a retina specialist who diagnosed me with Central Serous Retinopathy. My digestion still wasn’t optimal, fluctuating from diarrhea to constipation. In this time, I was growing increasingly tired in the afternoons. I felt slightly depressed and started cleaning up my diet, doing yoga, and seeing an acupuncturist. I even tried Reiki. I honestly believed I felt this way because I had recently turned 40.
After a traumatic family event and a very stressful move, I started having panic attacks that went from very scary to “call 911”. I noticed my depth perception wasn’t great and I was having panic attacks while driving. So I stopped driving. In February 2018, I gave up my car because there’s no point having a car no one will drive.
I decided to work on my symptoms methodically. I started with my digestion. I began seeing a fancy Gastroenterologist who, upon our first meeting, suspected I had Lyme. I was 100% positive I would test negative. I was wrong. He tested me and I came out positive for two types of Babesia and Bartonella. From there I began seeing a Lyme Literate Doctor (LLMD). We began treatment and the herxing was so heinous – I felt worse than ever. More tests determined I also had SIBO, Candida overgrowth, hormone imbalances, re-activated Epstein Barr, Hashimoto’s Disease, and HHV6 (another virus). Over the course of a year, I treated my various viruses with herbal and pharmaceutical remedies. I never did antibiotics. But I wasn’t getting better. I felt like I was getting worse. My emotions were all over the place and it felt hopeless. Most days I couldn’t get out of bed. With no energy to stand for more than a few minutes, I was unable to cook for myself.
If you look up a master list of Lyme symptoms, I’ve had them all except for seizures. I’ve been very lucky, there. My worst symptoms have been vertigo, fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, and tinnitus.
In the Summer of 2016, I discovered Infusio. Desperate for something to make my life better, we tried it. I began the 10-day treatment on January 15th, 2018 in Beverly Hills, California. I’m sharing my experiences for those interested in Infusio, looking for options, and who want a real (un-censored) view of the place. I’m happy to answer questions, just comment or send me an email. This page will be updated as I have more to add.
